Macna Gloves/Socks Battery and Charger Kit 7.4V 2.2A

$149.99 CAD

This set contains two smart batteries (7.4V x 2.2A = 16W) and a charger.

  • Li-Po
  • Up to 6 hours of heating
  • Suitable for heated gloves and socks
This set contains two smart batteries (7.4V x 2.2A = 16W) and a charger.

They’re fitted with a small Easy Connect Plug and can be used to power our heated gloves and socks. Depending on the piece of gear and level of heating, the batteries can last up to 6 hours.

These batteries efficiently provide power to the garment and prevent overheating by keeping an eye on the Voltage. Thanks to its internal processor, you also don’t have to turn them on – merely connect the battery and power on your glove or sock.

[!] VOLTS, AMPS, & WATTS
When looking for batteries, make sure you’re not comparing apples (7.4V) with pears (12V), as a higher voltage will heat faster and reaches higher temperatures. In moto-terms, volts can be compared to the engine capacity (cc) of your motorcycle. To give you an idea: 12V on its lowest level (40% power) is comparable to 7.4V on its second-highest level (80% power).

Amperage indicates how much power runs through the wires at a given moment. Basically, the amperage determines how long the battery will last before it needs a recharge. In a way, amperage is the equivalent of the size of your gas tank.

By multiplying the volts and amps, we find the battery’s wattage, or put simply: power output. We talk about power output instead of temperatures because power output can be calculated (V x A = W) and temperatures are subject to factors out of our control. In moto-terms: horse power.
